OpenBoard was originally forked from Open-Sankor้ 2.0, which was itself based on Uniboard. OpenLoco v24.04 OpenLoco v24.04 An open source re-implementation of Chris Sawyer's Locomotion. A construction and management simulation video game that simulates running a transport company. OpenLoco is an open-source re-implementation of Chris Sawyer's Locomotion (CSL). CSL is the spiritual successor to Transport Tycoon and OpenLoco aims to improve the game similar to how OpenTTD improved Transport Tycoon and OpenRCT2 improved RollerCoaster Tycoon. Chris Sawyer's Locomotion was originally written by Chris Sawyer in x86 assembly, building on top of his RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 engine. Much of the code is 1:1 with RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. However, the engine has changed substantially enough that OpenLoco currently does not share its codebase with OpenRCT2. Recent implementation efforts have focussed on re-implementing the UI, so that the data structures involved may be better understood. Features Small Portable Secure Note from the author: I made a simple gui as a front end to the OpenSSL command line encryption tools, and as a little side project, wanted to make a password locker to integrate into that util. I never did, as I started using this util at work for database and web logins and the like, (I don't like password managers as browser plug-ins, any more than I like GPG email plug-ins), and so this remained just a tiny little password locker. Usage: It's pretty straight forward, the first time you run it, you will need to create a password to access the password database. After that, the same dialog will come up, but without the second "repeat password" line. Bitsum developed ParkControl because core parking settings are hidden in Windows, but can make such a large difference on performance, particularly when there are bursting CPU bound loads (the most common type). Core Parking Core Parking is a sleep state (C6) supported by most newer x86 processors, and newer editions of Windows. Core Parking dynamically disables CPU cores in an effort to conserve power when idle. Disabled cores are re-enabled as the CPU load increases once again. This technology is very similar to frequency scaling, in that it seeks to throttle the CPU when idle. The problem is that Window's default power profiles are configured far too aggressively when it comes to core parking, especially on workstations. Their interest was in conserving energy, even if this meant marginally decreasing performance. A number of complex parameters control when a core should be parked, and Microsoft tuned heavily towards power savings. The core parking settings in Windows are implemented as parameters of power plans (aka power profiles). That means you can, for example, disable core parking for the High Performance power plan, but leave it enabled for other plans. PhotoFilmStrip v3.7.0 PhotoFilmStrip v3.7.0 PhotoFilmStrip creates movies out of your pictures in just 3 steps. First select your photos, customize the motion path and render the video. There are several output possibilities for VCD, SVCD, DVD up to FULL-HD. The effect of the slideshow is known as "Ken Burns". Comments of the pictures are generated into a subtitle file. Furthermore an audio file can be specified to setup the background musice for the slide show. In contrary to other projects, PhotoFilmStrip has the opportunity to render slide show in Full-HD (1920x1080) resolution. Features Simple user interface The user interface is kept simple, to let the user do the important things - customizing the slideshow. On the left hand side the user can set the motion start point. The motion end point can set up on the right hand side. In the center you can see tool buttons that gives acces to convenience functions to customize the motion path. In the lower area are listed all used pictures in a real filmstrip. This list supports images to be inserted, removed and moved. Above the filmstrip are the settings for the currently selected picture. Slideshow settings The project properties dialog allows to set up the aspect ratio and an audio file for the background music. There is an option to specify the total duration of the slideshow. Either by a custom value or by the length of the choosen audio file.
